Straightforward answers about your Roadside Assistance^

1. Pull over safely: Move to the shoulder or a safe area away from traffic.

2. Turn on your hazard lights.

3. Stay in your Ute if possible, especially on highways.

4. Call for help: Contact Roadside Assistance (1800 779 899) or Emergency Services (000).

5. Use reflective triangles or flares if available and safe to deploy.

6. Don't attempt repairs in unsafe locations.

7. If you must exit, do so from the passenger side away from traffic.

8. Stay with the vehicle until a technician or tow truck arrives.

The JAC Roadside Assistance Team can help you with the following:

  • Technical advice
  • Minor roadside repairs
  • Battery and emergency parts replacement
  • Emergency fuel
  • Lockout service (lost or locked keys)
  • Towing, including whatever you’re towing at the time

JAC Roadside Assistance is free with your JAC Ute and uses JAC-trained experts. Other companies may charge extra and may not have the JAC know-how or quick access to parts.

JAC will tow you to your nearest authorised JAC Service Centre. Towing is free if your JAC is being towed a 20km radius in urban or metro areas or a 50km radius in rural or regional areas.

JAC provides Roadside Assistance for your JAC Ute, no matter who's driving.

JAC Roadside Assist is not required to provide any services where any of the following occur:

(a)Unauthorised modifications: The JAC Vehicle has undergone unauthorised modifications that are not in conformity to the manufacturer’s specifications for pursuits such as racing, trials or rallying. This also applies for any accident or any claim for services which have arisen in respect of such races, trails, rallies or participation in activities of the like. Damage caused by the fitment of non-genuine accessories will also void JAC Roadside Assist.

(b) Towing: The JAC Vehicle is carrying more passengers or towing a greater weight than the design intended, as stated in the manufacturers’ specifications, or arising from or in connection with the improper, unauthorised, reckless or negligent operation or misuse of the JAC Vehicle.

(c)Mechanical breakdown due to any customer-related damage or misuse of the JAC Vehicle. This applies to activities other than changing a flat tyre, jump-starting a flat battery, supplying emergency fuel and effecting minor roadside repairs which are safe to do at the breakdown scene. In such cases, the services may still be provided, however the customer will be responsible for all costs.

(d)Failure to service: The JAC Vehicle is in an un-roadworthy condition, or it has not been regularly serviced, or has not been serviced in accordance with the manufacturer’s requirements and the Capped Price Service Program.

(e)Force majeure events: Loss or damage directly or indirectly occasioned by, or happening, or in consequence of the following: war, invasion, act of God, environmental events such as flooding, hail, act of foreign enemies, hostilities whether war be declared or not, civil war, rebellion, insurrection, terrorism, military and usurped power, riot or civil commotion, or sabotage, or any other events (whether falling into the same genus, species, class or category as the foregoing or not) beyond the control of you or the person operating or having control of the vehicle at the time of the accident.

The JAC Vehicle must be on a public and serviceable road.

In the event that JAC Roadside Assist transports the vehicle following any failure that is not covered by these terms and conditions, you will be responsible for all costs incurred, including parts, labour and vehicle transport costs.

Any person driving the vehicle must be holding a valid driver’s licence issued by a competent authority.
