A whole lotta heritage.

Building tough trucks has been in our DNA for over 60 years.

history

Tough is in our DNA.

JAC may be a new name to you, but JAC Motors has been building rugged and reliable trucks for over 60 years. The JAC T9 brings together all those years of knowhow into one Ute you can count on.

history

The house that JAC built.

Trucks gave JAC a solid start, and in the '90s, building on that success, we started making more vehicles for more people, from sedans and SUVs to Utes and EVs, with the same quality build and cutting-edge Research & Development as our trucks. As of 2024, JAC still holds the top spot as the #1 exporter of high-end light trucks and the #2 exporter of pickups from China, with more than 49,000 pickups shipped to over 130 countries and regions.

JAC hits the road in Australia.

JAC hits the road in Australia.

JAC moved to Australia in 2024, determined to bring Aussies a high-performance Ute. JAC’s engineers made sure the T9 was up to the harsh Australian conditions, and guess what? The T9 outperformed all established Utes, being named Australia’s safest Ute, based on 2024 ANCAP testing overall weighted score.

Research & Development.

Research & Development.

JAC has Research & Development facilities in three countries – China, Italy, and Japan – and, in 2018, its relentless drive for improvement and innovation saw JAC become the first Chinese automotive brand to exceed 10,000 patents, including more than 1,750 invention patents. JAC currently holds more than 12,500 patents.

JAC’s plans for the future.

JAC is here for the long haul, with a local parts warehouse and a network of over 60 dealers. Soon, JAC will be rolling out more of our range of passenger vehicles. We’ll keep building up Australians’ trust and building on our long history of award-winning innovations, with new energy vehicles, smart mobility and autonomous tech.
